More About Us

Company Operations

Field operations are achieved utilizing WILD-LEICA instrumentation. Survey observations are recorded utilizing TDS electronic data collection systems and/or the Florida Department of Transportation's Electronic Field Book (EFB).Primary control observations are also documented by conventional methods to insure a permanent defensible record of the survey.  Feature codes can be customized to match the end users system requirements. A comprehensive system of checks are utilized to insure the integrity of the electronic files. Hydrographic surveys are performed utilizing a Raytheon DE-719B Survey Fathometer. GIS and control surveys are performed with our Lieca System 530 GPS receivers.  We operate with the required safety equipment on all of our surveys to insure the safety of our staff and the general public.
Survey data is processed using a variety of methods. TFR is used to process topographic data gathered with TDS. FDOT's EFBP least-squares processing software is used to process data gathered using EFB. GPS data is processed using LEICA SKI-PRO. Prof. Ray Hintz's CMM (for conventionally gathered data) and VECTOR (for GPS gathered data) software programs are also utilized for data processing.
Our surveys are mapped utilizing Pentium based SCSI and EIDE work stations. Mapping can be provided in conventional CADD file format, Digital Terrain Models, and Model/Paper Space format. We currently operate using either MICROSTATION with GEOPAK or AUTOCAD 14 with SOFTDESK, depending on the deliverable requested by the client.  Our drawing files can be converted to formats which can be recognized by most software utilized by design and surveying professionals. We utilize US Robotics 56k modems to provide quick online transfers of drawings and data.
